What is the process for booking Mackenzie Lane Photography to document this time in our family’s life?
First, shoot me an email or give me a call, and we will find a date, time, location, and product package that best suits your family’s needs and that will give us the best possible photographs! Next, I will send you a contract form and a questionnaire to help me get to know you and your family better and to assure that I can plan accordingly to exceed your expectations for accomplishing the goals that you have for the session.
What kind of portrait sessions do you do?
I have experience in family, children, high school senior, maternity, and lifestyle newborn photography. I also offer on-location headshots for businesses and document events such as Sweet 16s and mitzvahs.
How would you describe your photography style?
I have a lifestyle, photojournalistic style of photography. I like to get a mixture of more posed formal shots and of the more natural shots. I stage my lifestyle shots, but generally give minimal direction so that I may capture those in between moments that really illustrate who your family is right now.
How would you describe your editing style?
My editing style is very clean and crisp. I love both color and black and white, so you will get a combination of both, depending on what best fits each image. For most images that you receive a black and white version of, you will also receive the color version. For portrait sessions, the majority of your images will be delivered to you in color.
Do you charge for travel?
I charge $1.00 per mile for any location beyond 40 miles from Tabernacle, New Jersey, plus tolls.
How long will it take us to receive our images?
My turn around time is 2-4 weeks for portrait sessions. If you need your order rushed, I can generally accommodate, but a Rush Fee may apply.
What sort of products do you offer?
I offer a variety of products all from a professional print lab, from prints to albums, canvases to bamboo mount prints, and USB drives to digital downloads. Contact me for my full product list.
How do you protect our files?
I am pretty paranoid about something happening to files, so I do my utmost best to prepare for the worst case scenario. The camera that I use writes the images to two memory cards simultaneously, so just in case one fails the images will be on the other memory card. Immediately when I get home (if not before), I transfer the images to my laptop, along with to two separate external hard drives. I also have all of my files automatically and constantly being backed up to cloud storage. I guarantee that I will save the files for at least a year, but in reality I save the edited images for the foreseeable future.
