Congratulations Sue and Chris (and Elaina!) on a gorgeous, fun-filled wedding day – everything came together perfectly! Sue and Chris are the prime example of how opposites can attract and be made for each other. Chris is the more organized, serious one of the two, and Sue is the spontaneous, outgoing one, but they truly bring out the best in each other. Their first date was at Bahama Breeze, where they spent hours talking, and the great conversation hasn’t stopped since. They love exploring the Philadelphia area together and introducing each other to new things, and their proposal story fits that flawlessly. They were in Philadelphia for New Years Eve, and went for a walk in LOVE park before meeting up with their friends to celebrate at the Crystal Tea Room. Chris pulled Sue off to one side, got down on one knee, and the rest is history!
Sue and Chris could not have picked a more beautiful venue for their wedding than Collingswood Grand Ballroom in Collingswood, New Jersey – one of the best South Jersey wedding venues, for sure. Sue’s Maid of Honor/sister, Lisa, helped her put on her dress – and Lisa had an extra pair of hands helping from Sue’s adorable daughter, Elaina! Sue, you were simply stunning on your wedding day. Everything about your outfit came together perfectly – from the insanely gorgeous beaded tulle dress to the radiant drop earrings, from the perfectly purple bouquet from Moorestown Flower Shoppe to the flawless hair and makeup done by Suede Salon and Spa. My second shooter, Ted, took care of the groomsmen photos after a certain Best Man ripped his pants – the guys rocked their mismatched socks! Foot model status right there. The girls and I did a few photos of them together in the hallway outside of their bridal suite – my absolute favorites are the ones of Sue and Elaina sharing a sweet moment before the wedding day really kicked off. The girls posed for one last photo in the sun room off of their bridal suite, and then it was time to get hitched! Both of their faces throughout the whole ceremony were just priceless – you could tell how ready for this they were! The classic staircase at Collingswood Grand Ballroom was such a great backdrop for their ceremony and for a few portraits afterwards. On our way to portraits in front of the estate, we grabbed a few shots in the alcove of windows along the hallway there. A hair had fallen in front of Sue’s face, and Chris reached over to brush it out of their face – how sweet are these two?! It was freezing out, but they hung in there with me and we got these ridiculously endearing photos of the two of them. We rushed back in from the cold just in time for them to have their First Dance as husband and wife, with everyone watching from the balconies. Elaina rushed down right after to join them – isn’t she just the sweetest? If you can’t tell, everyone had a blast dancing the night away – and we had a blast capturing it for them!! Thank you again, Sue and Chris, for giving us the honor of documenting your wedding day for you – here’s to the beginning of a long, happy marriage together and officially becoming a family!!
