So, as most of you who follow my blog (or who know me in real life) know, I’m new to town. We moved to South Jersey a little over a year ago. It’s been an amazing year in so many ways – see my recap of 2015 here – but now that I have relocated my business I have to get my name out there and do some networking, not just with potential clients, but also with other local photographers. Now, I’ve worked with some truly talented, inspiring, encouraging, and welcoming photographers in upstate New York where we called home for four years, but the photographers in the greater Philadelphia area and in South Jersey are just in a league of their own, because pretty much ALLL of them who I have seen are just amazing. There are sooooo many spectacular photographers here! I have been trying to make my way into some of the social networks of professional photographers here, but it can be a bit daunting at times. So, you can imagine my delight when Lauren of Lauren Allmond Photography – whose work I have been following since shortly after we moved here – responded to my message and was so generous in finding room for me in her list of second shooters and assistants, which is stacked with some major talent. She is amazing at capturing emotion and the bigger picture, with such elegance and beauty that would make anyone admire her photographs. Her work is timeless. We spent about an hour on the phone, and she agreed to let me tag along to her next wedding to assist!
So please, do yourself a huge favor and check out her blog of this snowy January wedding. You won’t be disappointed. Her images of the day are stunning, moving, and inspiring. It was an absolute honor to get to work with Lauren and I really cannot wait to get to do so again in the future!
These images of the bride in front of the window were all posed by Lauren, but I couldn’t NOT take a few shots of this bride like this – the light, the dress, the bride – all pure perfection! I tried to get a few different compositions from what Lauren was getting, but these are all her!
Here Lauren is doing her thang and making 51 floors up on a cold, windy day look easy!
The expressions here are perfect! You can just feel the excitement this bride is feeling to finally almost get to call her groom her husband!
Lauren Allmond Photography at work! These cell phones though – they crack me up!
She was so excited for the that first kiss, she skipped part of the ceremony to get to it! Who could blame her though, she’s been waiting for a long time for this!
As you can tell, Lauren is a pretty fun person to be around. She had this couple cracking up despite the chilly, windy weather during an impromptu couples session in the snow!
